As seen everywhere (!!!), people are raving about Netflix Original’s newest series Lost in Space! You want to know what makes this series so special? Aside from the A-team cast members who have wonderful dynamics, there is an A-team of producers behind this series working tirelessly to give you viewers the best. Sharing with you in this post some fast facts about my media junket and Lost in Space!

Lost in Space Exclusive Media Event | Space O, Omotesando Hills

Did you know that Lost in Space is a Netflix Original dramatic and modern reimagining of the 1960’s science fiction series? It’s actually a remake that is set in 30 years into the future and the Robinson family is among the special chosen ones to make a new life for themselves in a better world. How cool is that?? Unfortunately, the Robinson family found themselves torn off course (Danger, Will Robinson!) as their spaceship, the Jupiter, crashes into the unknown so now they must create new alliances and work together to survive in a dangerous alien environment that is suuuper away from their original destination. Check out my interview with the cast!

Moments before the one-on-one interview in a hotel in Ginza, Japan

In my interview, I was lucky enough to meet all 5 of the talents! Lost in Space stars Toby Stephens (Black Sails, Die Another Day) as John Robinson, Molly Parker (House of Cards, Deadwood) as Maureen Robinson – the family’s parental leaders with a sort of estranged relationship. As for the Robinson kids, Taylor Russell (Falling Skies) plays the strong-willed and confident Judy, Mina Sundwall (Maggie’s Plan, Freeheld) is the middle child Penny and Maxwell Jenkins (Sense 8, Betrayal) is the curious Will – the youngest (and super cute!!) and the most vulnerable.

I need more tea! | Lost in Space facts

Obviously, the setting of Lost in Space is in a world/planet that doesn’t exist so the production team worked extra hard to turn their vision into a reality. You’ll see it when you watch the series – of course it’s a mixture of use of the green screen but they were actually able to film on location in Vancouver. The producers of this show has an incredible visual effects team (that also worked on Iron Man & Game of Thrones) and pulled it off flawlessly.

About to meet the cast

I was so nervous when I stepped into the room to begin the interview. As soon as I sat down, the cast members were so engaging and you could tell in an instant they have an awesome team chemistry. Since the series is about doing anything for survival, I asked questions like “What 1 item will they bring to an unknown planet for survival?” I strictly had 10 minutes with them but it was so much fun and the interview felt so fast. Just as you see them in the series, the Lost in Space cast is as confident, strong, full of energy and honesty.

Lost in Space is the perfect family series – even for little kids to see characters who they can aspire to. It’s not something parents can watch JUST for the sake of watching something with their kids – they can actually sit down, watch it together and enjoy.
