FEATURED: Marry Me At Marriott 2017

by yukihigson

The biggest and most coveted bridal show of the year – Marry Me At Marriott on its 5th year!

Each little girl dreams of THE day they get to pick a pretty poofy dress and walk down the aisle on their wedding day. For those who’ll be saying “I Do” anytime soon, feast your eyes on the wedding collection of these four (4) world class designers – Hannah Kong, Avel Bacudio, Michael Leyva and Happy Andrada.

World class designers and their grand presentation of their bridal collections

I couldn’t help but discuss my favorites with Nick as we watch each designer showcase what they’ve been working hard on. EVERYTHING was amazing, from the modern sets of Avel Bacudio, intricate beading, crisp details, the bridal car (!) as the show opened – with a set up like that, it will be indeed a happily ever after.

Make-up by Franco Jay Ferrer of Estee Lauder Rustan’s Makati

For my look that evening, I’d like to thank Franco Ferrer of Estée Lauder! My skin type is combination oily and normal – I was surprised I didn’t need to retouch or remove excess oil (like what I usually do with other products.) For my foundation, he used Estee Lauder DoubleWear foundation and concealer. Franco did a smokey look and I love how their eye liner doesn’t smudge. If you’d like to consult him, you may visit him in the Estee Lauder make-up counter in Rustan’s Makati.

Congratulations to everyone!

Gown by Ryan Madamba | With my date – Nick Higson

I was escorted by this gorgeous gentleman for the event – thank you Nicholas! It was actually our first time to attend a formal event together and I must say – it takes a lot of effort to fix up! It was very worth it, it was a fun evening and I love being able to wear 5-inch heels and Nick is still taller. Hehe

Being awarded “Posh Lady of The Night” by Denise Aquino of Tokyo Posh, Mitch Garcia and Marc Nelson

Right before the program started, special awards were given out – Marriott even gave away free staycations. I was sooo surprised when Marc and Mitch called out my name for an award. Thank you Marriott and Denise of Tokyo Posh for that wonderful moment – all cos of Ryan Madamba’s lovely gown. Thank you Ryan!

What a beautiful multi-tiered wedding cake!

After the special awards, it was the moment we have all been waiting for: the show! The designers displayed the best of what bridal couture has to offer. Here are the show’s highlights.

Congratulations Marriott Hotel Manila for yet again, a very successful bridal show! It gets bigger and bigger every year. For the past years, they’ve had Rajo Laurel, Frederick Peralta, Ryan Madamba and other iconic designers – I am already looking forward to who they’ll have for next year! It was such a spectacular show and it makes me personally look forward to the day I say “I Do”! 🙂
