For my birthday, I was researching on a getaway near Metro Manila that was baby-friendly. One of the searches recommend this family-run farm called “Hulo Leisure Farm” so I decided to take my family to a weekend getaway. Located in Bataan, I loved how it was just a 2-hr drive away from Makati – a smooth drive too! I hope you find this blog post helpful and pls share with me your fave weekend getaways near the Metro.

I love Boracay – it’s definitely one of the world’s most beautiful beaches but personally, I initially didn’t want to go – my husband had to convince me. Why? For some reason, I’ve always had a notion it was crowded and thinking of my last trip in 2009 (YES – it’s been that long!) – I remember the shores being so busy and webbed by green algae, thus I wasn’t overly excited when my husband brought up the Boracay 2020 idea. Here is my experience returning to Boracay, almost 11 years later and of course, details on going through Boracay’s travel requirements. Was this trip a yay or a nay?

Bachelorette Party Venue Ideas in Manila (No plane tickets needed!) A lot of soon-to-wed couples seem to be keen on intimate destination weddings and funny enough – even the bachelor and bachelorette parties are going towards that trend too. I’m seeing a lot of Hong Kong, Bali and even Siargao bachelorette parties but what if your entire barkada is set to have one in a year or two? You’ll go to every trip? Frankly, we can’t always look the other way and swipe that card in order to join our friends (as much as we’d love to!!) so I pooled up my top 5 bachelorette party ideas (mine – included) in Manila. No flights needed – just your crazy girlfriends and a fun road trip adventure! My criteria for these top 5 spots – how comfy you can get with your girlfriends (and not be afraid of making any noise), affordability, Instagram factor (lol!) and road trip – friendly.

My Amorita Resort Review Whenever people ask me where the best beaches are, without batting an eyelash I always say “Philippines”. It’s not even just about the beaches, it’s about the warm service and the resort staff that’s always all smiles. Recently (thanks to the help of AirAsia’s affordable Manila-Tagbilaran flights), I hopped on a plane to spend 3 days and 2 nights in the very luxe Amorita Resort.

En route to Bohol with AirAsia! Whenever I travel, two things excite me: What food they’ll be serving (or to eat my pre-ordered meal!) and the entire in-flight experience. Known as Asia’s largest low-cost carrier, AirAsia never fails to surprise people and give people more than what they paid for with the quality of service they provide. Fly to Bohol with me as we discover it’s newest In-Flight Menu and catalogue!

Where to stay in Siargao I recently shared our super sulit 4-day Siargao itinerary in this post. Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on where we stayed. As my first time in Siargao, I was really amazing with the resorts, restaurants and of course – the beautiful island. Check out our home away from home – Sandy Feet Siargao!

Dubbed as the “Surfing Capital of The Philippines”, Siargao has gained attention for its powerful waves, lush greenery and clear waters. Located in Mindanao, this beautiful island is also a home to exciting activities and sights that will cater to non-surfers/non-swimmers. I may or may not know how to swim but I love the beach so much. So if your crew is looking for a place to go this year – here is my 4-day Siargao travel itinerary!

Brunch at The Bourke Hotel, Davao I will do anything for delicious breakfast food partnered with a clean, relaxing place to stay with nice fluffy pillows – this staycation requirement I recently found in Davao. During my last visit, I stayed at The Bourke Hotel which is located in the same compound as Bondi and Bourke restaurant (Hi Chef Patrick!) – I honestly wanted to stay longer.

Sundowners Vacation Villas There are times we get too tired of the hustle and bustle in the city that we look for a place to get away – but (ideally) not too far. We search for a getaway that will not involve a plane ticket – and can bring the whole gang. Well, you’re in luck because somewhere in Bolinao, Pangasinan is this gorgeous Santorini-inspired villa that’s overlooking the harbour. Sending over post cards from Sundowners!

When in Cebu Most recently, I flew to Cebu in an attempt to source more woven bag suppliers. On the same trip, my friend Kate suggested we stay overnight in Solea located in Mactan, Cebu. The resort is handled by the same management of Sand Bar Cebu so I was quite keen to check it out! Rest assured, it was such a fun trip and I am glad I checked it out. Keep reading to see what I loved most about Solea.
