Moss Manila Home: Manila Living, California Dreaming

In a world wherein everything needs to look “instagrammable” yet functional, this design house has everything nailed down. From their lovely furniture pieces and taking leadership in designing Manila’s most coveted events, Moss Manila Home knows what it takes to make beautiful, bold and eccentric pieces. Most recently, Moss Manila Home celebrated its Third Year Anniversary and the lifestyle brand brilliantly collaborated with three of their existing clients to create their own version of a Palm Springs-inspired furniture piece to complete the 10-piece collection.

Rissa Mananquil Trillo, Tessa Prieto-Valdes and Happy Fernandez-Victorino of Moss Manila Home

The intimate event was held in Manila House Private Club in BGC. Moss Manila Home’s new collection shows a contrast of soft pink and rich green hues, visual linear chevron-like patterns and luxe materials like marble elements. Their 3 existing clients turned collaborators Camille Co, Rissa Mananquil Trillo, and Tessa Prieto-Valdes share how they created their standout pieces and made it feel very “Palm Springs.”

Moss Manila Home sisters Happy Fernandez-Victorino and Cyndi Fernandez-Beltran

In usual Moss Manila Home fashion, the new collection reflects the sisters’ bold and eclectic style. It’s more fun doing things in pairs and these sisters definitely find joy and fulfillment creating these pieces together! Congratulations Happy and Cyndi on your third year!

Tessa Prieto-Valdes

MMH x TESSA is a collaboration with interior designer, columnist, and socialite-philanthropist Tessa Prieto-Valdes, who is known for her elaborate outfits and flamboyant style. As a woman of style and glamour, she designs a buffet cabinet reflecting her love for the unexpected, bold, and the eclectic.

Tessa cheerfully shared during the event that this collaboration was a fun and natural creative process for her. “I’m such a fan of Moss Manila Home! Whenever I see their finished product, I know right away it’s theirs because there’s that signature Moss Manila Home touch.”, Tessa shares.

She envisioned her buffet cabinet to reflect the hip, fresh, and relaxing Palms Springs vibe. She chose a pink marble top to compliment the white and gold chevron pattern on the cabinet doors. Such a cool combination! Her love for entertaining guests in her home also inspired her to create this piece and showcase her own personal style.

Rissa Mananquil Trillo

MMH x RISSA is a collaboration with model, beauty columnist, entrepreneur and beauty brand owner Rissa Mananquil Trillo. As wife to Paolo and their three kids, the piece she designed is fueled by her love for art, design, and entertaining at home.

“Apart from beautiful design, Moss Manila Home’s eye for craftsmanship and finish is amazing. I love that I now get to collaborate on a piece with them.” The three words Rissa would use to describe the bar cabinet she co-created are functional, modern, and beautiful. “Our home is like a little museum invaded by toddlers, where even everyday things feel like little works of art. I didn’t want a furniture piece that looked like a cabinet. I wanted something that looked like a sculpture,” she explains. “The art unfolds when you open the panels to reveal wine racks, shelf space, and a mini bar counter. With a rich green piano finish and champagne gold legs, it’s definitely a furniture piece that raises the bar.”

Camille Co

MMH x CAMILLE is a collaboration with travel blogger, fashion designer, model and stylist Camille Co. Having started her own clothing line, Camille has always been inclined to the world of design, fashion, and art.

“I’m actually a frustrated interior designer so I was definitely excited when Moss Manila Home asked me to collaborate with them for their new collection.”, Camille reveals. She shared how it felt like a natural collaboration—since she has previously asked the furniture design house to custom make some pieces for her home. The channeled bench with a mini marble table perfectly suits her room and her needs. “Millennial and functional” are a few words she can think of to describe the perfect piece that compliments her room.
