Travelling To Singapore from the Philippines: Requirements And Tips

by yukihigson

Singapore is now open for Filipino tourists and that’s sooo exciting! Most recently, I flew to Singapore with my 11th month old baby and the trip was so much fun. Before you go, make sure you have all the requirements for a seamless trip. Please make sure to always check the official Singapore Immigration website and check with your flight for the most updated updates. As of April 23, here it is.

Please note this list is based on my experience as a fully-vaccinated individual but if you fall under non-fully vaccinated individuals, you may check the Visit Singapore website.

Travel Checklist for fully vaccinated visitors

Travelling To Singapore

For Singapore travel, good news – no quarantine required! All you need to do is book your flights, pack your bags and simply present a negative pre-departure Antigen test upon your arrival. Easy peasy! Here is what you need to bring:

Note: My baby is 11 months. Non-fully vaccinated children aged 12 and below will be allowed to enter Singapore!

  1. Your proof of vaccination. I got mine from VaxCertPH and simply took a screenshot (no need to print).
  2. Book your tickets to Singapore – I personally flew with JetStar
  3. JetStar did not require for travel insurance prior to departure. You may be asked for it but personally, the immigration officer just asked me if I had, I remember my credit card had travel insurance coverage so I said yes and he just said “Okay.” – they didnt even ask to see it.
  4. As early as 3 days before your flight, submit SG Arrival Card and e-health declaration via the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website. I submitted mine 1 day before. No need to print, I just had a copy in my email.
  5. 2 days before departure, I booked a COVID-19 professionally-administered Antigen Rapid Test (ART) at home.
  6. When you get to Singapore, make sure you download the TraceTogether app and register your profile because they’ll require you to “scan” your profile in every establishment you enter.

Travelling Back To The Philippines

When travelling back to Manila, here is what you’ll need:

  1. 24 hours before departure (note they are very strict that it needs to be 24 hours before your flight), get a COVID-19 professionally-administered Antigen Rapid Test (ART) in a clinic. Please refer to the Singapore Ministry of Health official website for the list of approved antigen swab centers for travel purposes. I was staying in the Holland Village area so I went to WhatsDoc Holland in 211 Holland Avenue #03-18. Some swab centers require appointments but I just walked in. Please make sure to bring your passport and some only accept cash (SGD). My swab test cost 28 SGD + 10 SGD to print it (ouch!).
  2. Before heading to Changi Airport, save time and already accomplish your One Health Pass on this website. Prepare the photo of your VaxCertPh as well as a photo of your antigen results. No need to print – just take a screenshot!

That’s it! Always continue to check the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website (https://www.ica.gov.sg) for the latest news with regards to traveling to Singapore or call your airlines for any questions.

Enjoy your trip!
