A Bridal Celebration
Last October 28, I was invited to one of Marriott Manila’s much awaited events of the year – “Marry Me at Marriott: A Grand Bridal Show”. Before any light bulb moments come up, I do not have any plans on getting married anytime soon but hey – we can never be too prepared, right?

I love discovering new things and as a fashion enthusiast, I was eager to see what Frederick Peralta had up his sleeves! Marriott Manila redefined the meaning of luxury weddings, as soon as the hotel presented its grand bridal show. Are you ready?
Marry Me At Marriott
The divine set-up gave an aura of luxury lauriat, indeed! The ballroom was filled with almost 500 guests consisting of influential fashion designers, renowned celebrities, soon to wed couples, industry partners and sought after weddings suppliers gathered together for a luxurious 13-course lauriat gala dinner.
13-course lauriat by Chef Law Wui Wing
The most priced centerpiece of the evening was the food which doubled as entertainment, showcasing the talent of the newest member of the award winning culinary team of Marriott Manila-Chinese Executive Chef Law Wui Wing. I’d say everything was prepared flawlessly but on top of my head, my favorites were the sautéed asparagus with shrimps and scallops in x.o.sauce, the pan-fried beef short ribs with onion in black pepper sauce, steamed live crab with garlic sauce, Fukien fried rice “Hong Kong” style, and Chilled sweetened mango cream with sago and pomelo. I almost named everything as my favorite but yes – the food was fantastic!
Assorted barbequed meat combination with suckling pig
I’ve never enjoyed lauriat as much as I did during the bridal event! According to Chef, he describes himself as a perfectionist, epicurean, and detailed orientated which emanates in his masterpieces. The grand feast is only just a teaser, Chef Law happens to be the Executive Chef of Marriott’s upcoming signature Chinese restaurant, Man Ho which will be operational in 2016. I’ll definitely we watching out for that!
Frederick Peralta’s 30th Anniversary
The night was also the celebration of the 30th anniversary of top designer Mr. Frederick Peralta. More than 30 masterpieces were showcased by his closest friends and top models. His creations are divine and he picked out the perfect muses to cascade the pieces down the runway.
Performance by Primo Opera
It was a sight to behold as each piece gracefully floated the runway serenaded by Mark Mabasa and friends, Bernie Pasamba Orchestra, ballet dance performances, Airdance and Primo Opera. A night of amazing food and entertainment – what else could you ask for?
The Marriorr Grand Ballroom – coming in March 2015!
Slowly unveiling Marriott’s promising beginnings, spectators were also given a special preview of the newest and grandest wedding destination in Manila, the Marriott Grand Ballroom. Set to open in March 2015, this highly anticipated world class venue is purposely designed to host the perfect once in a lifetime celebration.
A Once In A Lifetime Celebration
From its own wedding chapel to bridal suites with private gardens, glamorous photo venues and private entrances every Marriott Wedding will be remembered for its unsurpassed grandeur and impeccable execution. Just the thought of it makes me so excited already!

Everyone was in awe as his models walked down the runway in Frederick Peralta. The attention to detail is impeccable – just like this dress. I already got my eyes on some of his creations!
Rima Ostwani
He handpicked his muses for the night and one of my favorites was this piece worn by Rima. You’ll definitely be the belle of the ball in this gown!
