Costa Coffee’s Flagship store is now open in Robinsons Galleria!
Working freelance, I really find coffee shops to be my best friends. I am always on a look out for a place with wide savory and sweet food selections, delicious coffee and tea drinks, good Wifi and of course, a nice cozy interior with a welcoming staff. Most recently, British multinational coffeehouse Costa Coffee has now opened its flagship store at the heart of Ortigas – in Robinsons Galleria! I assure you, it’ll be your favorite hangout soon!
Having Coffee, London Style
Warm, cozy interiors
The 135-sqm store is the first to sport the contemporary Atlas interior which is the current look and feel of Costa Coffee shops around the world. I was there this afternoon and I love how the interiors consist of wood and rich tones of purple and green – instantly transporting you to London’s rich and iconic culture.

Better Baristas Make Better Coffee
One thing I noticed at the launch earlier, the baristas are so engaging! They were supporting each other when they were crafting our drinks, educating us about the ingredients they use and showing us lovely latte art. While it definitely takes time to craft that perfect drink, seeing their technical skills paired with big smiles made me excited to visit the coffee shop again! Justin Dela Fuente, Costa Coffee Philippines’ Barista of the Year in 2016 was there and even shows us how the drinks are carefully made.
A lot of beverages to choose from!
So the most fun part of the launch: Trying out Costa Coffee’s food selections and beverages! I love how you have sooo many to choose from. I am personally not a coffee-lover but I enjoyed the Tiramisu Frostino, their signature Flat White (extracted shot of Cortissimo then topped with textured milk) and their signature bestsellers: Capuccino, Latte, Café Caramella, Mocha and ice-blended Frostinos. The Frostinos are sooo refreshing – perfect for this summer heat!

The Stars of the Summer: Costa Coffee Frostinos
At the event, we were given samplers of their bestselling Frostinos. I am not a fan of coffee-based drinks but I really enjoyed what we tried. If you like Mocha Italia espresso, you’ll love the Caramel Coffee Crunch Frostino (Primo-P185; Medio-P200; Massimo-P205). My favorite out of all 3 flavors is definitely that Tiramisu Frostino (Primo-P185; Medio-P200; Massimo-P215) – almost like the cake with the cocoa dusting! For the classic one, you’ll love the Coffee Cream Frostino (Primo-P145; Medio-P155; Massimo-P165) for that caramel-hazelnut taste.
My favorite: Costa Coffee’s Hibiscus Strawberry Cooler! | With Jane Kingsu of Working Mom and daughter LJ
I was able to get my hands on Costa Coffee’s Coolers and the blend of fruits and aroma of flowers make this drink SO refreshing. As a welcoming drink, we were able to try Lychee Blossom and I am already thinking of having it again in my next visit. For reference, here is the pricelist:
Watermelon Rose (Primo-P155; Medio-P170; Massimo-P185)
Lychee Blossom (Primo P175; Medio P190; Massimo P205)
Hibiscus Strawberry Cooler (Primo P175; Medio P190; Massimo P205)
Together with the wide array of beverages is a lot of new food selections as well! The Costa Coffee team suggests you order the Bacon Croissant (P100) with either smoked or honey-cured bacon paired with a Caramel Coffee Crunch Frostino or you can go for a Ham and Egg Croissant (P150). Another crowd favorite is the Pork Curry Turnover (P140) that goes well with Coffee Cream Frostino.
