I still remember my high school days at Assumption when my classmates, one by one, would seed out lovely (simple or grand) debut invites. If you aren’t familiar, a debut is a Filipino tradition of celebrating the coming-of-age of a young lady – second perhaps to a wedding, in terms of importance. Held at the Blue Leaf Filipinas, I think I just attended the most grand and beautiful debut ever!

Last Saturday, one of the most prominent names in the showbiz industry celebrated her debut and it is none other than the Teen Queen, Kathryn Bernardo! I really admire this girl cos she really has it all – beauty, brains and talent. Happy birthday, Kathryn!

It almost felt like attending the Oscar’s – not that I’ve experienced it but you get the picture, right? A carpet entrance awaits and you’ll immediately be asked for a photo op. A grand debut is, indeed, necessary for this lady! 🙂
After the success of The Blue Leaf Pavilion in McKinley, The Blue Leaf Filipinas is one of the preferred venues for elegant occasions such as this one. Blue Leaf made Kath’s debut perfect in all ways possible.

Upon entrance, guests were asked to write a simple birthday message to Kathryn. Adorned with pearls, pillows and perfumes, the set-up was definitely Teen Queen royalty!

A garden party at night? Why not! It’s definitely possible at The Blue Leaf. One of my favorite details was the “K” monogram on the fountain wall. Can you spot it in this photo?

Do you believe in less is more? For this elegant powder blue dress, I chose to pair it with simple gold earrings and a cuff from Calima Jewelry.
Like Teen Royalty
Kathryn’s debut was held in the combined Sinulog and Pahiyas hall. A grand debut venue that can possibly fit 800 people. Wow! You can see it by the set-up that it really is fit for a queen!

The guests were invited to snap photos by their not-so-traditional photobooth! I like the set-up of this one, by The Purple Fountain. Very elegant!

Fine-dining for the night and each table had a designated server. I don’t remember how many courses they served – 6 or 7? Could be more but I remember being really full!

These kiddos were seated right across me and I couldn’t help by admire their kakulitan. It was indeed a wonderful evening! Congratulations to all the event organizers. This one was surely not easy to pull off but they did it! 🙂
