TGI Fridays, Glorietta
Favorite after school hangout? Dinner to celebrate your graduation? Perhaps, first date? TGIFridays brings us a NEW LOOK with the same great taste. Despite all the changes, it is undeniable that one of the trademarks of TGIFridays is its delicious American-style comfort food in generous servings—delicious burgers, ribs, steaks, pastas, fajitas, decadent desserts and more—served by an ebullient wait staff trained to deliver topnotch service.
TGI Fridays’ Fresh & Hip look
A fun, fresh and hip hangout for you and your friends! The iconic red-and-white awnings remain but a simpler rendition of its logo affords a glimpse of what to expect: honest-to-goodness good food and a memorable dining experience.
New Look, New Feel
Twenty years ago, the Philippines saw the opening of the first TGI Fridays restaurant in Glorietta 3, Makati City. After a recent renovation, the same branch now sports a new and more modern look. It showcases how the brand has evolved through the years – with a contemporary image, enhancing guest experience and creating a more engaging and energetic vibe.
Hip and Cool
“The changes in the interiors make TGIFridays as exciting as it was when we opened our first branch in the Philippines 20 years ago,” says Guia Abuel, VP for Operations. “Now with the restaurant’s re-imaging, your favorite destination for good food and great times gives guests more reasons to keep coming back.”
TGI Fridays History | Looking back, moving forward
In 1965, Allan Stillman opened the first TGIFridays in New York City at the corner of First Avenue and 63rd Street, as a place for single adults to meet. It was in 1994 when TGIFridays was launched in the Philippines as the flagship brand of the Bistro Group of Restaurants.

History is put on view at the Heritage Wall with framed photographs recapping TGIFridays history and depicting the journey of its founder, Alan Stillman. By tracing the past, one would understand the values that the restaurant displays with pride to this day: commitment to serving good food and providing great service dashed with loads of fun.
Watermelon Mojito, anyone?
Over the years, it has as become the go-to place for the hip and happening people where they unwind and have a great time. TRIVIA: Did you know that TGI Fridays is the pioneer of the term “Happy Hour?” 😉
Soon to open in SM Fairview!
After 20 years and 15 branches (with their newest store in SM Fairview to open soon), TGI Fridays Philippines looks back with pride as one of the country’s best-loved casual dining concepts.
Grilled Chop in Shitake Cream Sauce
. Launched last May 12, dining becomes more exciting with Friday’s lunch promo. Being the “Perfect Place for the Perfect Lunch”, an array of the choicest lunch plates will be offered. Guests can loosen up during lunch time and enjoy Grilled Chop in Shitake Cream Sauce (dry rubbed and fire-grilled pork served with rice pilaf and summer coleslaw) will be the ideal way to make your midday.
Calm yet liberating Friday!
And as its new design elevates the bar and dining experience to keep up with the times, it carries the torch as the perfect place to relax, recharge and reconnect; as the place to go when you want that liberating Friday feeling any day of the week.
Jalapeno Mushroom and Stuffed Chicken
But if you favor chicken over any dish for lunch, Fridays will grant your fancy with Jalapeno Mushroom and Stuffed Chicken (deep fried chicken fillet stuffed with sautéed mushrooms, jalapeno and mozzarella cheese and served with rice pilaf and summer coleslaw). This is one of my new favorites! I love jalapeno!
It’s Always Friday!
As one enters the restaurant, the “Promise Wall” reminds guests that “In here, it’s always Friday.” Wouldn’t that be amazing? I honestly wish sometimes for everyday to feel like a Friday!
Good food and great times
“TGIFridays has changed with the times to cater to the next generation guests but we carry on with a desire to keep our regulars coming by giving them no less than what they deserve: good food and great times,” Abuel adds. “After all, whatever day of the week, in here, it’s always Fridays.”
The launch of the newly-refurbished Glorietta kicks-off a series of events, promotions, offers and more fun in celebration of TGIFridays 20th Year this 2014.
