Sperry X RAINS
Do you love it or hate it when it rains? Honestly, my answer depends on my footwear. When I’m clad in rubber gum boots, I’m a-okay but if I’m out in sandals or my favorite suede flats, I start panicking when I feel a raindrop. Now, I don’t need to worry cos Sperry has got me covered with their latest collaboration with popular Danish brand – RAINS.

Held in the Metro’s most known barberdashery, Sperry showcased its latest collection with a hint of Manila swagger. Good news – IT IS actually possible to look good even when we’re clad in rainy day gear unlike before, when all I could think about were those weird looking raincoats.
Sperry X Rains | A/O 2-Eye
Based in Danish Capital – Copenhagen, RAINS is known for their sturdy water-repellent shoes, bags, ponchos and rain jackets. For this collaboration, RAINS teamed up with Sperry with the must-have shoe for the season in two classic silhouettes – A/O 2 Eye and Cloud CVO. Sperry’s popular boat shoes marries RAINS water-resistant rubber coating with leather and matte finishes. Super nice!

Now, I don’t need to switch shoes just because it’s raining – Sperry has got me covered! 😉
Sperry X Rains shoes | A/O 2-Eye
I love how this shoe style makes my feet look narrow and smaller. It is so comfy and doesn’t feel heavy at all. The shoes even come with a water-resistant shoe bag with the same material as RAINS rain jackets.

Testing out the RAINS material!
To prove the durability of the material, the Sperry shoe was soaked in a basin of water all throughout the launch to prove that it really keeps the water out. Once you pour water on the material, it goes back to its matte finish and doesn’t get in the shoe.
