                                              Be Prom-Ready!

I will never forget one of my biggest wardrobe PROMblem – the night before DLSU prom. I felt OC about a minor wrinkle on my gown and decided to take the matter in my own hands – to try to iron it. Without noticing the heat settings… you probably know what happened next.

Your Prom dress need not to be expensive or made by a designer – don’t pressure yourself on that. You might end up like me ruining the dress LAST MINUTE and the last thing you want to be sad about is if it was very expensive. Your wardrobe doesn’t need to leave a hole in your wallet – just be comfortable in it and feel pretty! I found some choices to give you one less, one less promblem 😉

                                                      in Megamall

Like what I said, you honestly don’t need to spend a fortune when it comes to your prom attire. We have so many choices that give us both QUALITY and affordability when it comes to choosing clothes so why splurge, right? One of my favorite stores that make me happy with the price and design is Jellybean.

A fun place to play dress up

Jellybean offers a wide array of styles – from the most casual and chill pullovers to pretty dresses perfect for special events. I love how the staff is very welcoming upon entering the store and the pretty ladies are so helpful. Shout out to the Jellybean Megamall branch – especially to Kim! 🙂

                                               Pastels and Florals

Summer is coming up so there is no better time to hoard on floral and pastel designs. These midi skirts are perfect for a casual date or dress it up with heels and a fitted top.

                                                  Php500 off!

I know a lot of proms and balls are coming up. I hate to break it to you ladies but price doesn’t necessarily equate to quality. There are A LOT of dresses out there that are as gorgeous without the hefty price tag. Jellybean is actually having a PROMo now and get a Php500 discount when you buy the dress and shoes together!

                                          Blush pink and peach

I noticed a lot of blush pink and peach hues filled the store – it actually looks great against our tanned skin tone. When shopping for Prom dresses, try on at least THREE different styles because some clothes look so-so on a hanger but looks GREAT once you wear it.

                                  Graphic tees and pullovers

Aside from dainty dresses, I also spotted adorable pullovers perfect for casual days. Sweat treat for all the students – the prices start at Php599!

                                         Jellybean Sunglasses

Another new discovery – Jellybean holds an insanely STYLISH collection of sunglasses. I couldn’t help myself and ended up taking home two pairs! I love the choices and they fit me well. Check it out!! 🙂

                                                Shoe sale!

If you’re shopping for prom, now is the perfect time cos it’s sale season! Who can say no to a pair for as low as Php700? The strappy floral ones and the wedges with tassels on the bottom row are SO cute. Here are my top 3 picks if I were to hit prom this year 😉

A Dainty Tea Party | Teal and floral

Each prom comes with a theme and I’d wear this outfit to a sweet-themed prom. I come from a very conservative All-Girls Catholic school and the prom dress code was super strict.

PROMblem solved: Make a dress illusion with two pieces – a corset top and full skirt which you can wear separately afterwards. You can wear a comfy vest over the dress and remove during the after-party. Accessories with a simple cuff!

Greek goddess meets Boho chic | Aztec blush pink dress

There are some proms that require a long gown but you aren’t too sure if you should follow the dresscode.

PROMblem solved: You can play safe with this blush dress with an asymmetrical hemline. It can be casual enough and dressy at the same time. The nude embroidered heels from Jellybean are comfy enough for the after party!

                                Secret Garden | Floral coordinates

Bare a little bit of skin but not too much. If the prom dresscode isn’t as strict, don’t be afraid to show off a LITTLE bit of skin like this floral number. PROMblem solved: These floral coordinates are great together AND if worn separately. The beige wedges with tassels (which are on sale for only Php700!) fit so comfy and perfectly compliment the floral print.

                                   The Perfect Cover-Up: white vest

If you aren’t sure about the dresscode and tube/plunging or spaghetti straps aren’t allowed, I have the perfect solution for you!

PROMblem solved: Skip the shawls and pashminas, bring a stylish cover-up with you instead. This vest makes a great accent because the sleeveless style makes it comfy enough to move around in.
