Packing for international trips can be tricky. You have limited luggage space so you have 2 thoughts: 1. I need to pack all my clothes – how to make it fit? and 2. I need to make space for *unexpected* shopping sprees. The answer: Invest in one good coat!

I used to think that “hiking” simply meant putting on a sporty attire and walking on a straight path for an hour or two. Boy, I was proven wrong this weekend. The climb is tough – but indeed, the view is worth it. I have never done this before so Mt. Maculot is my first ever mountain to “conquer” – here’s how it went.

I received a lot of questions during my last trip to Hong Kong and most if it was: “Who takes your photos???” Yes, including the multiple question marks. Guess who? Sharing with you a quick crash course on Street Style Photography 101 😉

More than just bangus – is the feeling that I got as I spent 2 days exploring Dagupan, Pangasinan. I don’t want to sound naive but Dagupan is popularly known for its “Bangus Festivals” and their delicious seafood but really, they have so much more to offer to the curious cats like me – a secret paradise.

I used to think beach getaways come with a hefty price tag – until this trip proved me wrong. Imagine a secluded island with crystal clear water, white fine powdery sand, no hotels so you will go camping under the stars and eat fresh seafood – what would you say if you could get ALL that for only Php3,500? Well, welcome to Calaguas!

in Balesin I cant believe it’s almost March – the cold Berrr months are coming to an end (can you feel it?) so it’s time to embrace the sun! The Island Life On the last day of our Balesin trip, I made sure to slip into something comfy and city-appropriate. Slacks on the beach? Why not! Jaspal top from Adora | Abby Jocson white tote SM Accessories brown floppy hat | Vintage silver cuff Forever 21 Grid cuff Silver & Gold This top is so beautiful but one thing I learned – sequins kind of trap heat inside so it got REALLY warm after a while. Haha! At Balesin Island Club Yuki Tansengco See you soon, Balesin! My Style Cat Hope you all have a blessed Sunday and thanks for dropping by!!! 🙂 (Photos by Alaysa Bisnar)

A Closer Look At The Other World of Balesin I couldn’t explain the feeling when I received a blogger event invite to.. what – Balesin? Where’s that? Did I read it right? I was in for a treat when I hit that Google button. I couldn’t believe my first out of town event would be held in this beautiful 500 hectare island inspired and named after some of the most luxurious beach resorts around the world—Mykonos, St. Tropez, the Costa Smeralda, Bali and Phuket. Welcome to Balesin! Touchdown, Balesin! Whoever saw the potential of this island (and developed it!) is pure genius – our view from the plane window shows more than seven kilometers of white-sand beaches. We arrived shortly in just a 20-minute private transfer from Manila to Balesin, departing at 6AM at the CAAP hangar. When in Sagada I kid you not when I tell you – Sagada is full of surprises and you will LOVE it! Before this trip, the first and only time I’ve been to Sagada was when I was 7 years old. My only memory was it was an extremely long drive and the rice wasn’t white. Now, I still stand by my initial sentiments but this second trip came with many discoveries. When I Fall In Love – With Nature I am no city girl – as a kid, we spent a fair number of weekends in our provincial house in Nueva Ecija so lush greeneries and mountain views aren’t new to me but exploring Sagada made me love nature even more because view was so serene with so much life! It was beautiful. What To Do In Sagada If you are planning to make a trip up and expecting you will just “chill” because there might be “nothing to do”, think again! With this trip, I learned that there are so many things to try in Sagada so let me share with you my 3-day Catventure! Suite Blanco Parka | Anchor Co. backpack Let the adventure begin! in Baler, Aurora Living in the Philippines come with many travel perks. We have 7107 islands to take advantage of – but how do we go about it if it’s our first time? I’ve always wanted to go to Baler. Out of impulse – it finally pushed through and here are my tips for the first timers out there! Aliya Surf Camp | Something Borrowed white mesh dress First, always make lodging bookings ahead of time. Even if this trip was last minute, my friend and I immediately researched and made lodging arrangements. Good thing we did because when we got there, almost all the hostels were fully booked and it wasn’t even peak season. in Sabang Beach, Baler Of course When In Baler, you must try out surfing! BEFORE you react how difficult it looks and you’ve never tried, it is actually do-able for everyone. I, personally, do not know how to swim but with surf instructors in area, you can get a 1 hour lesson and a board rental for only Php350! Bay’s Inn Third, see your other options just incase you think of making a second trip. I’m already eyeing on Bay’s Inn and Costa Pacifica on…
