in Balesin I cant believe it’s almost March – the cold Berrr months are coming to an end (can you feel it?) so it’s time to embrace the sun! The Island Life On the last day of our Balesin trip, I made sure to slip into something comfy and city-appropriate. Slacks on the beach? Why not! Jaspal top from Adora | Abby Jocson white tote SM Accessories brown floppy hat | Vintage silver cuff Forever 21 Grid cuff Silver & Gold This top is so beautiful but one thing I learned – sequins kind of trap heat inside so it got REALLY warm after a while. Haha! At Balesin Island Club Yuki Tansengco See you soon, Balesin! My Style Cat Hope you all have a blessed Sunday and thanks for dropping by!!! 🙂 (Photos by Alaysa Bisnar)

Convertible Clothing by YAY Imagine you’re on a beach trip. You pack this one piece that you can convert into a cover-up, a top, or an accessory – how hassle free, right? That’s how I felt when I discovered YAY. It’s a good option to travel in and a must-have in your closet. Using purl snap buttons, simply unsnap and convert to multiple scarves and wraps styles. Simple and easy It’s literally converting in a snap! YAY is designed by Yevgeniya Alexandrovna Yushkova and is dedicated to creating timeless, elegant, yet practical “convertible” clothing. This cost-efficient style approach is perfect for those who easily want to transform their looks from day to night! 1. Cropped Batwing Cardigan / Long-sleeve shrug One of YAY’s best-sellers is this Tulip Convertible Cardigan. It’s perfect when you go to places with varying temperatures. Here I’m wearing it as a long sleeve shrug with a snap closure at the sleeve inseam. 2. Low top / front One of my favorite transformations with the Tulip Cardigan. It converts to this sexy low top – perfect when pair with jeans or high-waisted bottoms. 2. Low top / back You see the metal snaps behind? Those are so easy…

in my holiday uniform In a country wherein we have only 2 seasons, I get pretty jealous when the fall/winter collections come in after July. My favorite brands stock up all the layering pieces you can think of: scarves, coats, hats and wool socks but unfortunately, no cool weather here to wear it – unless it’s the holidays! Layering in Manila I have learned a little cheat sheet when it comes to layering in Manila. Let me know if you agree with me! Mango plaid dress | Zara boots | Forever 21 thigh highs I’ve always wanted to own thigh-high booties but that would obviously be too warm for our climate. Instead, I re-created that look and wore thigh-high cotton socks instead. Avoid material such as wool cos that’ll be too warm! Veloci Voyager Watch The synthetic material of the dress isn’t as warm as it looks. Plus, the length gives a lot of ventilation. Haha! To keep it simple, I paired this look with a Veloci classic Voyager watch. Check out Veloci on Facebook! Mango red purse Since the majority of the outfit is in blue/black, I paired a bright red purse from Mango for a pop of color.…

Reviving Manila Swagger Let’s get down to business. Nothing feels more corporate than a button down and pinstripe trousers. Gotta wear business attire for school soon? You might want to consider this stripe on stripe combo. Stripe on Stripe Well, this dressy ootd is inspired by a recent visit to a local yet modern barbershop – Felipe & Sons. It’s a must-visit if you’re in the Makati area! Yuki Tansengco To be honest, I woke up one morning and texted a guy friend, “Please bring over your pink striped button down – I need it for my outfit today!” Good thing he cooperated and brought it over. See? No harm in asking. 🙂 Topman Pink pinstripe top | Vintage trousers Print on print isn’t as scary as it sounds. The prints don’t have to be in the same color palette as the other fashionistas say – it can work too if it’s the same pattern like these stripes. Four Eyes PH “Charteux” frames I’m wearing a pair from Four Eyes PH! You should seriously consider it if you plan on buying glasses soon. This one is really sturdy plus it’s affordable, too! My Burberry They say perfume is the strongest form of memory. Imagine a fragrance that captures the scent of a London garden after the rain? That’s exactly how My Burberry smells like. Referencing the Burberry trench coat colour palette, the My Burberry juice is reminiscent of the signature honey shade, one of the three colours used in the brand’s Heritage Trench Coat collection. Yuki Tansengco It’s now here in Manila! The new My Burberry fragrance launched globally with a campaign featuring British global fashion icons Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne, shot together for the first time. The fragrance – My Burberry – takes its name from the affectionate way in which people refer to their Burberry trench coat. My Burberry now in Manila! The My Burberry campaign launched globally in September 2014 and October 2014 for the Philippines – for the first time in SM Aura! The Bottle I love the design! The glass bottle and overall design reflect the details of the Burberry trench coat: a bold horn-finish cap echoes its distinctive buttons and the hand-tied knot is English-woven gabardine, honouring the fabric invented by Thomas Burberry over 100 years ago. The gold lined interior is embossed with the iconic Burberry check design. My Burberry Campaign For the first…

in Mall of Asia I used to have the notion before that “Fashion Week” would be all about couture, high fashion and designer pieces. I’m glad I was able to break that notion this year and attend fast-fashion retailer shows such as F21 and Suite Blanco! Philippine Fashion Week 2014 This is what I wore to the only day I attended PhFW. I received invites for the F21, Suite Blanco, Sfera and Uno De 50 shows and I do not regret going one bit! 🙂 Yuki Tansengco My outfit is ready for a dainty tea-party! Guess where I got the dress? W.E. Garage blue polka-dot dress I’ve been so caught up with the blogging side of my life lately that I’ve sort of drifted from my main of interest – the business. So I need to focus for the holidays starting with this dress. It’s one of our prototypes – what do you think? SM Parisian brown heels | Abby Jocson tote Gone are the days when my interest was tight-fitting bodycon dresses. I find myself gravitating towards shapeless and loose-fitting pieces now. It’s all about comfort without sacrificing style! Forever 21 white blazer Before, I used to mind when…

From Madrid To Manila It is no doubt that we have a knack for Spanish brands. They bring us style, quality and affordability. Just when we thought we’ve seen it all, in comes three big brands from Spain in their first appearance in Philippine Fashion Week! Philippine Fashion Week 2014 Did these 3 brands meet our standards? See how SFERA, Suite Blanco and Uno de 50 bring Spanish fashion trends from Madrid to Manila! with Dez Lim, Vina Guerrero and Cher Lui Pio All clad in our best suits, Philippine Fashion Week is a main event for stylistas of all ages. Girls eagerly watch out for the next big thing in fast-fashion retailing and RTW. One of the much awaited shows is a triad of European brands: Suite Blanco, SFERA and Uno de 50. See the latest trends! SFERA Fall/Winter Collection The (S f e r a) Fall/Winter Collection is based on Key Color Palettes with highlights on prints and textiles. My favorite, the Khaki Collection – pay tribute to spring with dense prints showcasing butterflies on trousers, shirts, and dresses. So adorable! SFERA in SM Makati The Grey Collection features a more formal look, using knitted fabrics, bulky wools, and…

Leather for the weather My heart is still mourning for DLSU’s loss as I type this but we must move forward somehow, right? I guess today’s rainy weather was already a sign… a sign for me to wear leather. Head-to-toe in F21 I never thought of leather (or similar material) will be ever appropriate to wear under Manila weather but I surprisingly found a piece that’s more of haute than hot. 😉 Yuki Tansengco Recently, I went to the First x Forever relaunch of Forever 21 SM Megamall which you can read about here. The new hip design made it easier for me to navigate around the store and led me to these pieces! So today, I finally conclude that it’s okay to whip out your leather jackets and not melt at all. 🙂 Casual Burgundy Jacket | Php1275.00 I thought it would be really warm but I was wrong. This casual jacket from Forever 21 is light and is made of leatherette – a thinner kind of material. It has a lot of pocket compartments, too! Gold Mixed Chain Necklace | Php620.00 I am a sucker for choker-type gold necklaces. You’ll be in accessory-heaven for sure when you go…

Forever 21’s first ever store in the Philippines – SM Megamall Surprises continue to pour as LA-based retail giant gives it’s FIRST ever store in the Philippines a fab makeover! I clearly remember the launch 4 years ago – Forever 21’s arrival was HIGHLY anticipated. F21 has become a household name – with 9 stores spread across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, and another one fast on its way within 2014. First x Forever: Store Relaunch in SM Megamall Change is always good – as long as it’s for the better. Now, in its fourth year, Forever 21’s SM Megamall flagship store receives a sophisticated and streamlined makeover, reflecting the brand’s new international look. What better way to celebrate it with fun treats, beats and the most loyal F21 patrons? 🙂 Hosted by Martine Cajucom To celebrate the relaunch, F21 partners with IT Girl Martine Cajucom to host the event! It kicked off with a fashion show featuring the latest pieces from their Fall Collection featuring iconic model Anja Rubik. The collection ranges from soft sweaters to oversized trenches with a color palette of camel, pale pink and prints. Restyled. Revamped. Reinvented. We bid goodbye to the ornate Lucite chandeliers and said hello…
