in Mall of Asia I used to have the notion before that “Fashion Week” would be all about couture, high fashion and designer pieces. I’m glad I was able to break that notion this year and attend fast-fashion retailer shows such as F21 and Suite Blanco! Philippine Fashion Week 2014 This is what I wore to the only day I attended PhFW. I received invites for the F21, Suite Blanco, Sfera and Uno De 50 shows and I do not regret going one bit! 🙂 Yuki Tansengco My outfit is ready for a dainty tea-party! Guess where I got the dress? W.E. Garage blue polka-dot dress I’ve been so caught up with the blogging side of my life lately that I’ve sort of drifted from my main of interest – the business. So I need to focus for the holidays starting with this dress. It’s one of our prototypes – what do you think? SM Parisian brown heels | Abby Jocson tote Gone are the days when my interest was tight-fitting bodycon dresses. I find myself gravitating towards shapeless and loose-fitting pieces now. It’s all about comfort without sacrificing style! Forever 21 white blazer Before, I used to mind when…

in Mega Fashion Hall I remember seeing a tweet the night of the VIP launch saying, “H&M all over my feed.” Everyone knows it has arrived and we are all excited about it. I was lucky to be one of the first customers to visit and shop so here are 5 quick tips to make your H&M shopping experience a great one! HM says Hello, Manila! Tip number one: Don’t get overwhelmed. Upon entering the store, you’ll be greeted by racks filled with lots of choices and fabulously styled mannequins. Don’t panic! Relax – you will have enough time to scan each of the 3 floors. Yes, THREE! 🙂 Nikita Conwi and Yuki Tansengco To tell you the truth, I got overwhelmed too during the launch. I kept hoping from one area to another, excited to go up the other floors so I didn’t really get to scan properly. Oh well – a perfect reason to come back! 🙂 Very affordable hats and scarves Tip number two: Don’t assume the pieces expensive! Some people make the mistake of NOT picking up an item just because they think it looks expensive. See those scarves? I wanted a cheetah print one but…

Leather for the weather My heart is still mourning for DLSU’s loss as I type this but we must move forward somehow, right? I guess today’s rainy weather was already a sign… a sign for me to wear leather. Head-to-toe in F21 I never thought of leather (or similar material) will be ever appropriate to wear under Manila weather but I surprisingly found a piece that’s more of haute than hot. 😉 Yuki Tansengco Recently, I went to the First x Forever relaunch of Forever 21 SM Megamall which you can read about here. The new hip design made it easier for me to navigate around the store and led me to these pieces! So today, I finally conclude that it’s okay to whip out your leather jackets and not melt at all. 🙂 Casual Burgundy Jacket | Php1275.00 I thought it would be really warm but I was wrong. This casual jacket from Forever 21 is light and is made of leatherette – a thinner kind of material. It has a lot of pocket compartments, too! Gold Mixed Chain Necklace | Php620.00 I am a sucker for choker-type gold necklaces. You’ll be in accessory-heaven for sure when you go…

Go La Salle! For me, style has no boundaries. Fashion has no rules. You can wear pink with red if you want to although I highly don’t suggest that but if you feel like it then go for it! Today, I chose to wear green pants. Whoever said it looked weird on our coaching staff – hasn’t seen the female version of the uniform (this!). Lol – just kidding! But hey it’s not so bad 🙂 #Animootd Whenever I attend UAAP games, I see some people with the cutest white and green combinations. I encourage you guys to tag your UAAP ootd’s with #Animootd to show our support – through our outfits! Haha let’s do this! Just casually walking around in green pants So today, my outfit is inspired from our coaching staff’s uniform. A mix of green and white with a hint of brown/khaki – what do you think? Yuki Tansengco Lately, I’ve been looking for basics. You can never have enough basics in your closet – right? I’m happy I found this easy breezy Gap top from my mom’s pile. It’s a bit loose but that’s the point of feeling al fresco! GAP white sleeveless top | Vintage…

Dress up, Show up You know what’s worse than a very long to-do list? A FLU that wants to be part of it! There is nothing more horrifying than get sick when you have lots of activities in lined – yikes! On fighting the flu As long as your sickness isn’t contagious, always try your best to still show up and do your deliverables. Here’s are quick tips to style yourself despite the flu bug. Haha! CLOTLE white dress | Forever 21 heels I already KNEW it – the sneezes, body pains, etc. I knew I was getting the flu but I have committed to attend events that week so I tried my best. One of which was the Optic White Dream Wedding Launch. So glad I have this handy LWD (Little White Dress) from CLOTLE! To see the other colors, like CLOTLE on Facebook! H&M jacket The dresscode for the event is to wear white, of course. Since I was down with the flu, I felt SO COLD in the most normal room temperature. Has that ever happened to you? So I grabbed this jacket on my way out since I knew I’d feel cold at the event. Subtle…

Yuki Tansengco In a scene wherein companies only seem to sell us items for the main purpose of earning profit, making us want items that we don’t really need and worse, making us buy things that aren’t worth our money – there are some things that give me hope: honest brands with honest people. Honest to Goodness I strongly believe in karma, saying what goes around comes around. Even if being honest should be the ONLY option for us, I somehow find it so heartwarming when people choose that path when they could’ve done otherwise. in Trinoma So let me share with you 3 little experiences that GAVE me hope! 😉 Forever 21 ripped jeans & white heels First, these heels in F21 gives me hope. Why? For the first time in a long time, I bought a pair of heels that are so durable AND affordable. The best part – they don’t hurt AT ALL! No blisters to wounds on my feet. I call these my Milo marathon heels! Lol! W.E. Garage Batter Up cap Second, my newest purchase at Bayo gives me hope! You can see it in the photo above, it’s the oversize suede tote with the…

A World Without Strangers I’ve always been fascinated with street style photography – coming up to a total stranger and asking if you can snap their photo. I follow a lot actually, The Sartorialist, Humans of New York, etc. Lately, a came across a very interesting one – a photographer who solely focuses on Asians. Asian beauty I’d have to say that its our colonial mentality that makes us want to be so western. All the whitening product ads, wanting a sharper nose, lighter hair color, bigger eyes – when in truth, I believe Asians are beautiful as they are. Shoot with @asian_impressions Today, meeting and shooting with this streetstyle photographer strengthened my theory. Us Asians girls are beautiful! 😉 Proud Race jacket | Zara maxi | Tres Shoes wedges I was thinking, “How does this work?” I mean aside from the obvious fact that these photographers go around and spot stylish people on the street aka “streetstyle”, they probably also plan some shoots, right? Shot by Teban of @asian_impressions It all started when my fellow blogger Dez Lim (@dezadrienne on Instagram) shared her excitement to shoot with the popular streetstyle photographer, Teban. I got excited and asked if I…

Yuki Tansengco For some reason, I have this odd habit of attempting to shop in the kids section. Why? Why NOT!? 😀 A lot of brands now are coming up with stylish lines in kids apparel! It’s really the age of fashown kids. Chill day Nothing feels better than trading in your heels for sneakers, tight jeans for loose shorts and a comfy cotton shirt. I think these will be my staples from now on! A sneakers and shirt thing. If the shorts fit – why not? You’ll never guess where I bought these eyelet shorts. Hihi :> Bensimon Tennis Elly shoes I was never a sneaker-person until I had my first pair of Bennies! (then my 2nd, 3rd, etc.) These shoes literally go with anything! Leggings, a skirt, pair of shorts – you name it. I dont mind getting dirt on them, too! Hair by Blo Blow Dry Bar I came from a photo shoot so I had my hair done at Blo. It’s really one of my favorite pamper places. I used to get my hair done around Php1000-Php1500 per event but with Blo around, I get these VS curls for only Php500! Call 09176BLODRY to book a…

Designs by Abby Jocson | ASTRID Duffel Php2750 I’m honestly never saw myself as the model-y type but I am always game for a fun #OOTD shoot! We snapped these photos for my good friend’s bag line Designs By Abby Jocson. Her pieces are amazing – just like this duffel bag! Love locally made Are you still a student? Working? Chilling? If you answered yes to any of those questions, her bags are perfect for your lifestyle. I love how all her collections are locally made! Let’s support proudly Pinoy goods, yes? 🙂 Yuki Tansengco I think I’ve masted the kunwari “walking” pose after this shoot :)) DIY singlet I’m very into DIY so instead of purchasing my own “side boob” tank top, I cut up an old shirt and hemmed the sides. This black one’s an old oversized t-shirt. What do you think? Thrifted gold and leather boots These boots also scored a number of compliments and my friends got surprised when I told them it came from a … thrift store! Told you I am a sucker for ukay pieces 😀 Hair color by Gionyx Hair & Nail Salon | Make-up by Shane Buhay of MAC Thank you…
